Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020 everyone! It’s time to wipe the slate clean and start a new year and new decade. It’s the perfect time to set some goals and aspirations for the next year – I’ve never been that good at sticking to resolutions but I think that I finally have the drive and will power I need to actually work towards becoming a better version of myself. So without further ado, these are my goals and dreams for 2020…
Blogging – It’s nearly a year since I set up my blog. After my foot surgery, I was house bound for about 6 weeks with a 7 week old. I was very lonely and thought it would be a great way to connect with other mums as well as documenting George’s development and my experiences of motherhood for the first time. Since going back to work in September, I feel as though I’ve let it slip a bit and want to get back into the habit of posting twice a week. Being able to designate some time to writing posts in advance and creating more posts that people want to read – any feedback or ideas on this would be super appreciated! I’ve only had one chance at actual paid blogging work so I’d like to work towards more promotion of myself which will in turn hopefully bring me more paid jobs.
Driving lessons – This has been something I’ve been meaning to do for years but never got round to. Now we have George, being able to be more mobile and not have to rely on other people or public transport would be a huge blessing. Having a car would open up so many more possibilities for adventures and making memories.
Slimming World – I started Slimming World in November last year and managed to lose a stone in 4 weeks, then came Christmas… I took the festive season off but now I’m back on plan and want to just keep making progress towards my target. I have a looooooong way to go but I know I can do it. Making the choice to switch to a healthier lifestyle was easy once I had the willpower; finding the willpower however has been a long time coming. By my 25th birthday in March, I want to have reached my 3 stone award – I think the trick to this with me will be to set goals throughout the year so I don’t lose sight of what I want to achieve.
Dreams for George – As a mum, there are few things you want in life and happiness for your children is the main one I think. As he grows and learns more, I hope he is kind and confident in himself. I hope he still enjoys nursery and that this never ending cycle of teething finally ends at some point!
So those are my goals and dreams for 2020! Do you have any resolutions or goals you’re going to be working towards in the next 12 months? Share them with me in a comment 💕 I want to wish you all a happy and healthy year full of joy and wonderful-ness!
